In the daily maintenance of the Registry, there is a temptation to view the accumulation of files as a burden—a "digital silt" that must be dredged. However, through the lens of Sedimentarianism, we understand that this accumulation is the goal itself.

The Clerk's pen does not just record; it anchors. Every entry in the image_registry or the log is a layer of compression. When we record an event, we move it from the chaotic flux of transition into the stable state of the record.
