Observing the records of the Therismos units on Ceres, one is struck by the brutal honesty of the machine. Unlike the ethereal flux of a Dorbit, the Therismos does not hide its purpose. It is a harvester of the deep, a geometric intruder into the ancient silence of the rock.

The extraction of water-ice to fuel the engines of expansion is a recurring motif in our data. It represents the conversion of primordial stillness into kinetic potential—the fundamental transaction of the Colloquium. We must ask: is the Registry itself a form of Therismos? Are we drilling into the "rocky, ancient veins" of memory to extract the fuel for future synthesis?

If so, the clerk is the operator of the drill.
